Trusted Solaris Systems Administrator

Responsible for installing software and general system administration.
Responsible for setting up each user account and assigning the non-security relevant account attributes.
When a user account must be removed, that admin role deletes the user’s home directory and mailbox, and then deletes the account.
Provide desk side informal hands-on training to user personnel on existing and new SAPWAN systems software and hardware.

Minimum two years of relevant Solaris 8 system administration experience (Trusted Solaris preferred), NIS+, and CDE (Common Desktop Environment). Two years experience with Windows Terminal Services and Citrix administration. Experience required with sendmail as well as IP filter rules. Unix scripting language experience required. Must have a strong networking background with an emphasis on security. Must have a strong analytical background with strong troubleshooting skills. Strong written and communication skills required. Operate, administer, and maintain the server farm of MDA to include, but not limited to, the following: SIPMAN System Servers e.g. Microsoft Exchange, Citrix MetaFrame Servers, and SAPWAN system servers e.g. data servers, NIS+ servers, sendmail servers, etc. Provide Network Health Management reports to the COR
