Position Title Sr. Statistical Programmer

Daily Responsibilities - Automate basic data analysis procedures
- Assist with development and implementation of computing tools supporting data analysis, spatial analysis, visualization and display on web portals
- Assist with identifying, assessing, and implementing statistical methods for privacy protection and disclosure prevention
- Maintain computerized SAS general use data sets for a wide variety of statistical applications
· Work with Medical Officers and Scientists to provide advice and assistance in developing the best method for preparing and analyzing data for academic publication / dissemination / public health response.
· Plans / develops statistical initiatives and methods to support program goals.
· Provides technical assistance to other professionals on the use of complex statistical and epidemiological techniques.
· Will use SAS and develop computer programs to assist with the analysis of datasets. Will need to link data from multiple independent sources, such as surveys and other datasets such as administrative records, hospital discharge data, environmental health assessment to develop improved evaluation estimates.
· Will need knowledge of automatic data processing, demographic data, and of dataset management to provide computer generated tables of summary data for internal and external dissemination, such as product summary reports and Annual Report tables, which may include coefficients of variation and population rates.
